Long awaited and much anticipated, the European
Folk Network (EFN) has now arrived
Registered as a not-for-profit democratic membership organisation with clearly defined aims and ambitions, the EFN has been established by its highly committed voluntary founding members, who welcome everyone involved in folk traditions and culture in Europe.
EFN's first conference for all members was held on 28 & 29 November 2019 in Brussels, then there were online Spring Forward virtual meetings during the Covid lockdown period on 15 March, 24 April and 9 June 2021 during the pandemic and the second conference was in Budapest on 18 &19 November 2021. At March 2023 EFN now has over 140 members from 27 countries.
