EFN CONFERENCE 2026 – REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

EFN has great pleasure in announcing that the 2026 EFN Conference will take place over two full days on

Friday 13 & Saturday 14 November in the beautiful Spanish city of Almeria on the Mediterranean coast – and registration is now open.

The conference will be hosted by EFN Member Fundación Indaliana para la Música y las Artes – known as Clasijazz – in their superb self-contained venue which offers space for conference plenaries, breakout groups, catering and performance.

The conference programme will feature expert speakers and panels, working groups, breakout discussions and traditional music performances.

Click here for CONFERENCE REGISTRATION – there is a special discount price for EFN Members.

The first hotel that we recommend – which is very close to the venue - is The Costasol Hotel https://www.hotelcostasol.com/en/    EFN will announce more information on hotels and travel in the next few days.

EFN recommends that conference delegates should arrive on Thursday 12 November and depart on Sunday 15.  Almeria airport has some direct and transfer flights – but the main airport to consider is Malaga.  We will announce travel possibilities from the airport in a few weeks’ time.  Long-distance train services to Almeira can be booked from Madrid and Barcelona.

Watch out for information on hotels and conference programming coming very soon and the EFN Members Googlemail, the EFN website and regular mailings.

EFN participants will experience not only the conference but also the vibrant cultural environment of Clasijazz and the welcoming atmosphere of the city.   Almería is a Mediterranean city in southern Spain, located in the region of Andalusia. Known for its warm climate, beautiful coastline, and relaxed atmosphere, it offers a unique combination of culture, history, and nature. The city is famous for the Alcazaba fortress, its historic centre, and its connection to cinema, as many international films were shot in the surrounding desert landscapes. Almería also has a growing cultural scene, with music, arts, and community initiatives playing an important role in the local life.

Our host Clasijazz is a multidisciplinary cultural centre that promotes music and the arts at local, national, and international levels. Founded in 1998, it has grown into a space that functions simultaneously as a live music venue, an educational centre for music, dance and theatre, a jazz club, and a place where music, creativity, and community life meet. From jazz and folk to classical and contemporary music, Clasijazz brings together artists, learners, and audiences of all ages, while actively collaborating in European networks and international projects, believing in music as a tool for connection, inclusion, and social change.
